For over 30 years Waxaway has been making salon quality depilatories for use in the home.
Made by Australia’s leading professional wax manufacturer, Waxaway revolutionised at-home waxing with the introduction of the first microwaveable warm wax on supermarket shelves. It continues to grow its range with a number of salon quality hair removal alternatives to suit all skin and hair types allowing consumers to easily achieve a salon result in the comfort of their own bathroom.
Despite the superiority of its salon quality products, the brand was looking dated, was underselling the high quality of its product and was disconnected from both the depilatory market and its target customers.
Blink was engaged to revitalise and modernise the brand, from its name (formerly Lilliane Caron) and identity design through to packaging, marketing strategy, online presence, digital and print communications and POS.
Beginning with the simple and aptly descriptive name Waxaway, Blink crafted a fresh and clean identity, with modern word mark and wax drop symbol – a clear waxing cue.
A breath of fresh air for the clinical and pharmaceutical looking depilatory category, Waxaway’s bright and youthful, yet professional packaging is aligned with modern beauty products, appealing to 13 to 25 year old females, the majority of at home waxers.
Its colourful palette informed all of Waxaway’s marketing collateral, digital and print communications to deliver the brand’s proposition in an engaging way.
